The most popular flame retardant reflective tape XM-6010, which is used to create protective clothing for people who work with open fire or risk of fire, reaffirmed its high quality.
Laboratory AITEX (Spain) a lot of time doing research XM SIlverLine’s reflective and protective tapes and other textile products XM Textiles. In September and October 2016 tests of retardant reflective tape XM-6010 were held. According to their results, this tape has received certificate of compliance with the South American standard ABNT NBR 15292:2013. This is good news for our customers in Brazil, for which the standard was developed.
We recall that the standard sets high norms for the retro-reflective and fluorescent materials that will be used in the production of high-visibility clothing, determines the minimum dimensions of retro-reflective areas, offering the colors and the positioning of these materials.
The following tests were carried out during the audit:
- “Photometric performance requirements for retroreflective material as new”,
- “Photometric performance requirements for retroreflective material after 5000 Abrasion cycles”,
- “Photometric performance requirements for retroreflective material after 7500 Flexion cycles”,
- “Photometric performance requirements for retroreflective material after Folding at cold temperatures at -20ºC”,
- “Photometric performance requirements for retroreflective material after Climatic ageing”,
- “Photometric performance requirements for retroreflective material after 25 washing cycles at 60ºC”,
- “Flame resistance of textiles (vertical test)”,
- “Photometric performance requirements for retroreflective material after convective heat”.
All tests completed with the assessment “Pass”.
Thus, the reflective retardant tape XM-6010 once again confirmed its quality and a high reflective capacity.
